What do you have for breakfast? 

I’m not a great morning eater, so I like to start my breakfast day with a freshly squeezed veggie juice. I mix it up each day, Some days it’ll be a pure celery juice, others a mix, a favourite is beetroot, carrot, cucumber and ginger. I choose the juice depending on how I feel. It just feels so great to start the day with a big dose of vitamins.

What is your biggest health non-negotiable? 

Hydration is super important to me. I try to fill up on 2-3 litres everyday, of filtered water, non caffeinated teas and juices. I find it helps everything from my digestion to my skin - It just keeps everything flowing, excuse the pun!

What is your favourite daily ritual? 

I love to wake up early, it’s such a beautiful quiet time of day. I use this time to move, breathe and/or meditate, I then follow it up with a walk with my little Pomeranian.

What is your biggest indulgence? 

Me time! It doesn’t happen as often as I’d like so definitely an indulgence, but switching my phone onto do not disturb and having no plans or agenda. I love having this time to myself that I can do anything I like with no commitments. It's such a great recharge.

What does sustainability mean to you?

Being conscious and mindful of the choices we make to help mother earth. I strongly believe even the smallest of actions from each of us consistently can make the biggest impact for the planet and future humans. It's great that this topic has become so present and spoken about. My partner and are continuously adopting new habits for our household, from the food choices we make, the reusing of what we can and recycling correctly.

What does luxury mean to you?  

Beautiful trips away, pamper days, shared meals with my favourite people and enjoying great quality food, especially cacao!

Why did you start your business?

I’ve always found something quite special about giving and receiving beautiful boxed chocolates, a little offering of love. Unfortunately for me, I found it hard to find ones that cater to my dietaries concerns and that focus on quality ingredients. My mission became to recreate and make available, chocolates that use exceptional ingredients, that are friendly to food conscious individuals, and are good for you. All of the Genie truffles bars are made by hand from organic ingredients. We use beautiful nut butters to fill the truffle centres that are all made in-house. And we are vegan, gluten, dairy, soy and refined sugar free.
